If you’re a business owner who cares about the planet, your community, and not burning yourself out while doing good work—you’re in the right place.

Climate change is the biggest challenge our society faces. And while individual action and government policy matter, we don’t talk enough about the role business plays in shaping our daily lives. Businesses determine what we have access to, what we don’t, and what kinds of futures feel possible.

Don’t get me wrong—we absolutely need systems-level change. But I believe small businesses are uniquely positioned to make that change feel real. We’re close to our communities. We know what people need. And we can adapt faster than anyone.

I’m Sophia McConnell. I co-run a native plant nursery in Lancaster, PA with my sister, and I’m building a story-based tour app that explores how place, business, and imagination intersect. I’m interested in how local businesses shape the realities we live in, how they can help us imagine something better, and how they can contribute to restoring the health of the planet.

This site is where I share my ideas, experiments, and frameworks for building thoughtful, values-driven businesses—ones that actually last, and don’t leave you exhausted in the process.
